Dear Parents,
Due to the flu our field trip to Emeritus (Assisted Living) is being rescheduled. I have requested Jan. 11 1:30 - 3:00. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from the Activities Director. We will still put on the same program, still pass out the gifts and crafts that students have either made or parents have bought ( trail size toothpaste, shampoo, wet wipes, mouthwash, etc.) and we will still dress as they did for the Christmas program.
Following the Christmas Party on Dec. 20th, students will begin work on auction projects. Any parents who are willing to stay and help, will be given materials and a group to work with.
Thank you so much for the money to cover the cost of the Christmas tree and to help with the cost of auction projects.
OPTIONAL: Monday, Dec. 19 is a $5.00 PJ Day. Pj's must be modest and warm. Please make sure that any pictures are acceptable. If indoubt, e-mail me and I will let you know. The money will be used towards our class projects. Change in Spelling The first full week back to school after Christmas vacation, students will be tested on the ar rule. The following week, students will be tested on the ge and dge rule. Continue to use the last Spelling Activity Sheet that was sent home, it covers all three spelling rules. Math Students are learning to tell time by the hour and have been doing so well, that we are also working on time by the half hour. Students began work on Frog and Toad boks today. In honor of Alex's birthday (Happy birthday Alex), we began with Frog's Birthday. Please keep these books with the library that students are building at home. These books may also be read for homework and for Book-It, and will be a great way to maintain reading progress over the summer.
Students are also working with the overhead projector and individual student clocks.
Ask them, W *What is so special about magnets? and *What can magnets do? I enjoy their enthusiasm!!!!!!!
